Go on an after hours historical Dusk Tour of the Old Montana Prison!
 
Explore the grounds and history of the Old Montana Prison like you never have before! This tour begins at 7:30 pm after the museum doors close and lock for the day. Join Lem, your guide, who will give you an in-depth history as you make your way through the grounds and buildings of the Old Prison. Visit areas that are off limits to the general public during regular museum hours like, the upper tiers of the 1912 Cellhouse where prisoner graffiti can still be seen today. Climb the stairs of the infamous Death Tower where Jerry Myles and Lee Smart spent their last living hours during the 1959 riot.

With every ticket purchase, you will also receive a commemorative ticket and a copy of our Digital Tour Guide, which are yours to keep.

The Powell County Museum and Arts Foundation is a local non-profit membership organization which operates the Old Montana Prison as a Museum. As the Old Prison Complex contains buildings located on three blocks outside the Old Prison walls, other collections have been brought in to fill five museums.
